Big Question- week 2
It is evident that Holdent struggle with being in the middle age of being and adult and child firstly because he has very chid like habbits. Like how he act towards other people he likes to pick fights with other guys and that is childish behavior. He aslo would not being making all of these mistakes like dropping out of high school if he was in an adult mind set. He would be trying to look towards the feature and not mess up his life at such a young age. Holden is like an adult in the way the to me he is pretty independent, like I don't think that I could work up the courage to leave school and go to New York alone, I would be way to scared. I also think that if he tried he could be way more mature then he acts, just by reading the things he thinks. Some of the things he does that are childish he knows he is doing so atleast he knows what he is doing, its a first step. Just in the book you can see that he wants to be an adult, because he is always trying to act like he is one and hates it when he look his own age. When moving to adulthood I think teens struggle with wanting to be a grown up but not wanting to act like one to. We wan't to be treated like one but don't want to stilll have the responsibilties of being children. I think that Holden struggles with that aslo. Another struggle is that some of us want to act like adults before we are ready to, which I think is exactly what Holden is going through.
