First Blog

I think that Holden is very confused about himself and has a negative out look on everything in life. He needs to grow up a little, becuase he act like a child sometimes. He is very immature and that probably comes from things we don't know about yet. I just think he kind of already gave up on himself and others. He needs to find something that changes his whole outlook on life.

    You have to have some sympathy for him because i think he is still dwelling on the death of Allie. That one event shaped his attitude and behaviors for the several of the next years to come. What do you think Holden's attitude and behaviors would be like if his brother hadn't died?

    Nice reflection and response Morgan and Andrew. It is interesting to think about the other factors that are inhibiting Holden, not just the death of his brother. Maybe Holden is just a whiny rich kid who needs to grow up? Do you think he gave up on the world because of what the world is made of? Do you think this is a somewhat normal behavior or is something bigger wrong with Holden?
